Job Title: Welder-Fitter

The Ganawa Company Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team. As a Welder-Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding and metalworking techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts and products using various welding and metalworking techniques.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metalworking.
  • Ability to interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Ability to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Ability to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Ability to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts and products using various welding and metalworking techniques.
  • Ability to operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Ability to start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Ability to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
