Intensive Care Nurse for Cardiac Surgery Unit

At Fraser Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Intensive Care Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Surgery Unit.
About the RoleThis is a dynamic and challenging role that requires exceptional nursing skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. As an Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Your expertise will also be sought after in multidisciplinary conferences to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
In addition to your clinical skills, you will participate in the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of Critical Care Level 2 course plus one year's Cardiac Surgery experience or two years' recent experience in critical care in an acute care facility and one year recent Cardiac Surgery experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, and a pension plan.
