Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Test Engineer to join our team at US Tech Solutions. As a key member of our Client Data Center GPU Remote Management team, you will be responsible for setting up, building, and maintaining automated testing infrastructure for embedded remote management firmware.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, build, and execute test infrastructure for embedded remote management firmware.
  • Create automated test plans using the infrastructure to perform various tests, including sanity tests, black box tests, functional tests, and regression tests.
  • Develop negative tests to actively try to break product and expose flaws before deployment in production.
  • Setup hardware to facilitate remote/local test execution firmware in the lab.
  • Reproduce defects and validate defect fixes found during testing, development, or in production code.
  • Provide feedback to design teams on bugs and Design For Testability feature requests.
  • Integrate automated testing in CI/CD environment (Jenkins).
Requirements:
  • Proven test bench setup experience with expertise in embedded systems.
  • Able to read and interpret board schematics.
  • Software programming and scripting experience (Python, bash, C) in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • PC/server environment H/W and S/W setup and administration.
  • Familiarity with various embedded protocols, including IC, SPI, USB, PCIe, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Comfortable working in different operating system environments, including Windows and Linux.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and driving tasks to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum years of experience in Embedded SW and test development.
  • Minimum years of experience in test bench setup & development.
  • Familiarity with Out Of Band management of servers and its components in a data center environment.
  • Knowledgeable in industry standard protocols like IPMI FRU, MCTP, PLDM, Redfish, etc.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architecture (ARM, x) and embedded system build tool suites.
  • Version control and CI/CD systems like git, jenkins, etc.
  • Mentoring skills an asset.
  • Experience with BMC a plus.
Academic Credentials:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering Preferred.
