Position Summary:
We are seeking a Full Time Pharmacist to join our team at our pharmacy located in northwest Regina. As a Pharmacist at CareRx, you will be responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care to the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, and timely
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures
- Consult with the pharmacy management team on unresolved issues
- Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx patients
- Communicate with the resident care team while maintaining professionalism
- As needed, support clinical services for homes serviced in the Regina area, such as medication reviews, audits, immunization events, or clinics
- Maintain accurate and organized resident health records
- Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation
- Follow provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory
- Participate in training and support for new and existing pharmacy team members
- Participate in ongoing continuing education to remain current in pharmaceutical, medical, and professional licensing information
- Prepare and compound medications as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide on-call service on a rotational basis
Requirements:
- Insured and licensed in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
- Advanced Method Certification required for administering injections
- Previous retail pharmacy experience
- Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other healthcare team members
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
- Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact in a professional and mature manner
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Self-directed, dependable, and responsible in the execution of job duties
- Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
