About the Role

Ardi Renovation Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and durable surface for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets
  • Positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound
  • Installing acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
  • Installing metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
  • Installing vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
