About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Newton Pizza House Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train and develop our staff in their job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and customer service skills.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation and manage our inventory to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage our food service staff, ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that our food and service meet the highest standards of quality, and that our customers receive exceptional service.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage Records and Reports: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for our staff, ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor who has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to quality. You will have a strong background in food service management, with experience in supervising and coordinating staff, training and developing staff, and managing inventory and staff.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service management role
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, attention to detail
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative
