Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team as an Ad Serving Specialist. In this role, you will design, develop, and own Tier 1 services that determine eligibility for an ad to be served. About the Role:

  • Set technical vision for the services across Performance Advertising Core Engine
  • Design and develop complex customer and advertiser experiences
  • Advise senior leadership of technical opportunities and pitfalls to ensure long-term rapid delivery of features
  • Lead and inspire teammates to raise the standards in the quality of the software they build

About the Team:

The ad serving team is responsible for powering a low-latency, high-scale ad serving workflow for the largest Amazon Advertising product - Sponsored Products. Our team provides a true balance between platform scale and platform business requirements ensuring that every change made by a developer directly contributes to business growth.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per year
