Farm Supervisor Job Description

Agricultural crop services are at the heart of our farm operations, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Ajmer Singh Sandhu. As a key member of our farm management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our orchard and fruit production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Shear and shape trees and plants with a knife, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting, using a variety of equipment and machinery.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Hire and train staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in agricultural crop services, with a strong background in orchard and fruit production.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a focus on quality.
  • Physical stamina to work in a variety of weather conditions, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
