Job Title: Truck Driver - Semi Trailer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Semi Trailer to join our team at Capital Foodservice Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods across the country
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
