Job Title: Plastic Extruder Operator

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Extruder Operator to join our team at Meltech Plastics Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our extruding machines to produce high-quality plastic compounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to produce consistent product quality.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet our high standards.
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compounds through nozzles or dies.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products.
  • Adjust processing machines and equipment to optimize production efficiency.
  • Take samples of product for quality control purposes.
  • Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth production.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
  • Clean and maintain the work space to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Record production information for quality control and reporting purposes.
Requirements:
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
