Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks to fabricate and repair metal structures and components. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and quality control skills, with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of metal structures and components.
  • Welding Operations: Perform welding operations using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc) to fabricate and repair metal structures and components.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with specifications and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure project completion and achieve organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Completion of a welding program or apprenticeship, with certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS, CWB).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • Skill Set: Strong attention to detail and quality control skills, with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
