Key Responsibilities- Education and Training: A college or CEGEP education in dental hygiene is required.
- Experience: We are willing to train the right candidate.
You will be working in a dental practice environment, providing a range of services to patients.
Key Tasks- Taking Dental Impressions: You will be responsible for taking accurate and detailed impressions of patients' teeth.
- Instructing Patients: You will educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
- Gum Care and Prevention: You will clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease and promote overall oral health.
- Fluoride Treatment: You will apply fluoride treatment to patients to help prevent tooth decay.
- Teeth Cleaning: You will remove stains and deposits from teeth to leave them looking their best.
- Local Anesthetics: You will administer local anesthetics as needed to ensure patient comfort.
- X-Ray Services: You will take, develop, and mount X-rays to help diagnose oral health issues.
- Restorative and Orthodontic Procedures: You will perform restorative and orthodontic procedures under the direction of a dentist.
- Dental Hygienists Licensure: You must be licensed by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
