About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Captain – Pilot Boats to undertake various pilotage tasks in the port of Trois-Rivières. This is a permanent position that offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a crew to ensure seamless execution of maneuvers.
  • Implement and enforce safety and environmental protection policies.
Requirements
  • Mandatory qualifications include a Master, Limited certificate for vessels over 150 GT and a valid medical certificate from Transport Canada.
  • Certifications such as MED Domestic Vessel Safety (DVS), Basic first-aid training at sea, and Restricted Commercial Marine Radio Operator (CRO-CM) are also required.
  • Prior experience on pilot boats and mechanical/SVMO knowledge are considered assets.
  • Availability to work day, night, and weekends is essential.
  • Familiarity with navigation on the St. Lawrence River and intermediate-level Microsoft 365 skills are highly valued.
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written, is preferred.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
