About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Databricks. As a key member of our Field Engineering organization, you will partner with our customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers to design and implement data architectures that meet their business needs.
  • Drive complex technology discussions to express the value of the Databricks platform throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Engage with customers' technical leads, including architects, engineers, and operations teams, to establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Work with teams across Databricks and our executive leadership to represent customer needs and build valuable customer engagements.
  • Develop account strategies for assigned accounts to grow their usage of the platform.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following technologies: big data engineering, data warehousing & ETL, data science and machine learning, or data applications.
  • Experience designing, architecting, and presenting data systems for customers and managing the delivery of production solutions.
  • Fluent in SQL and database technology.
  • Debug and development experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, Scala, Java, or R.
  • Desired: degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research).
  • Must speak and write fluent French.
