Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will assist the engineering and maintenance supervisor in all activities related to building maintenance, prevention, documentation, and maintenance of equipment and systems.

  • Assist in maintaining, servicing, and documenting equipment and systems to minimize downtime.
  • Respond promptly to building maintenance calls.
  • Support other trades as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complete monitoring and control reports as required.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Successful completion of probation period at Fedex Supply Chain.
  • Excellent employee record, including performance and health & safety.
  • BASIC knowledge of plumbing and general industrial maintenance.
  • Able to maintain and repair building equipment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a computerized environment.
  • Oral and written bilingualism.
  • Ability to operate rolling stock.
  • Will to work at height; may be exposed to varying temperature conditions.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Read, write, and interpret information.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Sit, walk, or stand for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push, or pull.
  • Visual acuity, close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift/carry items less than 25 pounds.
Estimated Salary: $24.60 - $29.50 per hour
