Take Flight Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team in the field of construction and building.

About the Job:

We are offering a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, for this permanent full-time position.

Job Description:

This role involves working at heights, outdoors, and in noisy environments. As a Framer-Carpenter, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining various materials. You will also build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware. Additionally, you will survey building locations and levels, estimate costs and materials, maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required;
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience preferred;
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in noisy environments;
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent measurement and calculation skills;
  • Able to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment;
