Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transport Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching personnel, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize phone calls, emails, and operational tasks
  • Maintain control of daily operations and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborate closely with other team members to achieve common goals
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with the reservation and maintenance teams
  • Assign and coordinate work contracts in accordance with company standards
  • Supervise, support, and train drivers
  • Validate work hours for payroll purposes
  • Perform rotational night shifts
  • Resolve operational issues and implement solutions
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Manage employee conduct and apply company policies and procedures
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in logistics or a related field
  • Class 2F driver's license (an asset)
  • Minimum one year of experience in transportation (bus experience an asset)
  • Proficiency in bilingualism
  • Strong geographical knowledge and orientation skills
  • Ability to think critically and respond effectively to unexpected situations
  • Proficiency in current computer software and technology
  • Flexibility, dynamism, and a proactive approach to work
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
