Educational Assistant

The Chinook School Division No. 211 is seeking a qualified Educational Assistant to join our team at Downie Lake School. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including speech, motor, and language development, and social and life skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Improvement Plans.
- Assist students with health and hygiene needs, and accompany students on the bus to and from school as required.
- Participate in a team environment to promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Education Assistant certification or early childhood training is an asset.
- Ability and experience in working with children, including those with diverse needs.
- Physical ability to work with active students.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A positive and flexible attitude to change, with a willingness to respect the Hutterian culture.
- A competitive hourly rate of $17.36 to $23.21.
