Domestic Caregiver

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Caregiver to join our team at Ahmad Abu-Romeh. As a key member of our household team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residential spaces.

• Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
• Cleaning: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
• Support: Criminal record check, supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Requirements: No degree, certificate or diploma, will train, criminal record check, supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Work Environment: 36 hours per week, English language, permanent work term.
