About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing reports, developing investigative plans, conducting investigations, and producing final investigative reports on high-risk, sexual violence-related matters, and other ad-hoc issues. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing alternative resolution pathways, working closely with senior academic leaders and service providers across the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting trauma-informed investigations, including those related to sexual violence and harassment
  • Managing multiple investigative files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Facilitating mediation processes and developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to high-risk matters
  • Providing expert consultation and support on workplace safety, crisis counseling, and conflict resolution
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor degree, or a graduate-level university degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, public health, or criminology
  • At least eight years of recent experience in conducting investigations, including those related to sexual violence and harassment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and produce clear, concise reports
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience working in a university or public sector setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies
