Senior Analyst, Acquisitions and Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Corporate Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial and strategic analysis of potential Merger and Acquisition transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage vendor relationships throughout the merger and acquisition cycle
  • Develop and manage financial models for acquisitions
  • Structure analyses efficiently to ensure accurate conclusions with an economy of time and effort
  • Conduct in-depth research and strategic analysis on industries and/or organizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project or deal teams to conduct diligence, review transaction documents, or coordinate inputs for financial modeling
  • Partner with external counterparties, including organizations, and financial, consulting, or legal advisors
  • Create presentation materials that effectively summarize strategic and financial analysis, key takeaways associated with an opportunity
  • Craft and present clear, concise communications to our senior leadership team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CBV designation, or working towards designation
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and transaction advisory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent financial modeling skills, including experience with valuation analysis, mergers and acquisitions, bank capital measurement/requirement analysis
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, corporate tax, capital markets, and valuation concepts
  • Strong research skills, excellent problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated success with team management and project management, including the ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
