About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on outings to local points of interest, encouraging creativity and exploration.
  • Child Support: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while observing and reporting any signs of potential learning or behavioral issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers, discussing progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, supervising and coordinating activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Training: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and relevant training in child development and education.
  • Security and Safety: Medical exam and vulnerable sector check.
  • Transportation and Travel: Public transportation available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Team player, experience an asset.
