Forklift Operator Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in a warehouse environment. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of forklifts, including Crown Reach, Order Picker, and Dockstocker, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
  • Perform physically demanding duties, such as manually loading and unloading goods, and follow all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols.
  • Loading trucks, offloading trucks, and operating a slip sheet to unload containers.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable driving and operating equipment.
Requirements:
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment (Crown Reach, Order Picker, and Dockstocker).
  • Previous warehouse experience and comfort with general labor, including case picking and palletizing product.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Experience with slip sheet is an asset.
  • High energy and ability to follow processes.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with staff and outside drivers in dispatch.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
