Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Transport Gaston Nadeau inc. as a key member of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
    • Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely delivery and minimize fuel consumption.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
    • Identify and report any mechanical issues or defects to the maintenance team.
  • Safety and Security
    • Conduct regular safety checks on the vehicle and its cargo.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
    • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) or equivalent.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced transportation environment with varying weather conditions.
