About the Role
The Senior Manager, Commercial Loan Portfolio is a key member of BMO Financial Group's Corporate Finance team, responsible for managing a commercial loan portfolio and originating new customers. This role requires strong business development and relationship management skills, as well as excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in credit recommendations concerning risk, deal structure and requirements of new and existing customers.
- Manage the risk of the complex portfolio assigned to him/her in a timely and accurate manner.
- Research data to facilitate solutions for customer/prospect activities and needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide expert advice to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree or MBA (finance, accounting, economics or related field) with strong academic record and more than 7 years of relevant experience.
- A current or completed CPA, CBV, CFA or other relevant professional designation or graduate degree is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including financial and accounting analysis, data analysis and statistics.
- Excellent computer knowledge and technical skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Excellent negotiation skills with clients and legal counsel.
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong established market network.
