About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at The Smithers Sausage Factory Ltd. as a Meat Packager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to food safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.
  • Packaging Operations: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, ensuring accurate and efficient packaging processes.
  • Machine Operations: Feed and unload processing machines, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
  • Quality Control: Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and report any issues to the relevant team members.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and will be required to work in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
