The Technology Operations Lead is a key professional who remains up-to-date with developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work affects an entire area, which ultimately impacts the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules; project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

  • Collaborates with senior project staff and client senior management teams to discuss project status.

  • Proposes and oversees process improvements.

  • Significantly impacts the business through thorough evaluations of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.

  • Provides expert knowledge in the area and a high level of understanding of IT project leadership principles.

  • Possesses a deep understanding of how own area and others (e.g., architecture or infrastructure) work together to achieve business objectives.

  • Directly affects the business by advising on strategic functional decisions through guidance, counsel, or services.

  • Serves as an advisor or coach to new or junior analysts, allocating tasks.

  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • Influences others through comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.

  • Assesses risk appropriately when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues transparently.
