We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Technician to join our team at DRYDEN CHEVROLET BUICK GMC LTD. As a key member of our body shop, you will be responsible for estimating repair costs, inspecting repaired vehicles, and planning repair work to be performed.

Work Site Environment

Our body shop is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and physical stamina. You will be working in a dusty and noisy environment, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Plan repair work to be performed, including estimating labor and material costs
  • Clean and maintain the work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components as needed
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish
  • Repair or replace interior components, including windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • Mix paint, blend, and match colors to ensure a perfect match
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
Certifications and Licenses

We require our Automotive Body Repair Technicians to hold the Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification and the Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent attention to detail.
