Electrical Design Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Technician to join our team at BRP. As an Electrical Design Technician, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for our recreational vehicles and boats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for our products, working closely with designers and engineers.
  • Support the workshop in the assembly of prototype vehicles, ensuring that electrical systems are properly installed and tested.
  • Monitor the development of prototype parts under your responsibility, identifying and addressing any technical issues that arise.
  • Analyze technical problems and propose corrective actions, working collaboratively with the engineering team.
  • Transfer knowledge to other BRP teams, ensuring that electrical design expertise is shared across the organization.
  • Analyze and prepare preliminary reports on test data, providing insights and recommendations to the engineering team.
  • Participate in investigative trials, identifying and addressing technical issues and proposing recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the engineering team in the development of electrical systems, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in electronics/electrics or equivalent.
  • Specific knowledge of electrical systems design, including electrical circuit design and wired logic.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Resourceful and self-reliant, with a passion for BRP recreational products.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to technical problems and adapt to changing circumstances.
