Job Summary

destinationone Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare recruitment team, you will play a critical role in providing expert laboratory services to our clients.


Location: Various locations across Alberta

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting complex laboratory tests and analyses to provide critical information for patient diagnosis and treatment. You will also oversee laboratory operations and mentor laboratory technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced laboratory tests and analyses on biological specimens.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Develop and validate new testing methods.
  • Maintain laboratory quality control and compliance with regulations.
  • Train and supervise laboratory personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and implications.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (e.g., ASCP, CSMLS).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
