Job Overview

About the Role

This full-time position is based at our [location] site and involves providing treatment and care management services to clients with mental health and/or concurrent disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, developing comprehensive treatment plans, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring client progress. Additionally, you will work closely with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless coordination of care and provide education and support to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct initial and ongoing mental health assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor client response to ensure optimal care
- Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to coordinate client care and ensure seamless transitions between services
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on topics essential to their mental health and well-being
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families based on respect, empathy, and trust
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement changes to enhance client care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized institution
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Two years of recent experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands
