Parts Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Parts Technician to join our team at Western Star Trucks. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for ordering, warehousing, and inventory control of parts, as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily orders, receive and ship parts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide sales and price quote information to customers via phone calls and in-person interactions.
- Offer a high level of service to internal and external customers, communicating effectively with dealership personnel and departments.
- Pull and fill orders from stock, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Notify parts administrators of out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring immediate attention.
- Operate non-powered material handling equipment, such as dollies and pallet jacks.
- Manage cores, warranties, and new part returns according to department policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and development programs, attend department meetings, and maintain a professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S principles and continuous improvement culture.
Requirements:
- Able to operate a forklift (asset).
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate department demands, lifting up to 60 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills, sales drive, organization, and self-motivation.
