About the Role

iMak Repairs is seeking a skilled Cellular Telephone Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Repair: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Troubleshooting: Determine the nature, cause and location of trouble, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • Network Expansion: Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems, circuits and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres.
  • Customer Support: Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Internet Access: Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access for customers.
  • Equipment Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers to ensure continuous service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
