Parts Counterperson Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Parts Counterperson to join our team at Budds' BMW/MINI Oakville. As a key member of our dealership, you will be responsible for purchasing, selling, storing, and issuing parts to our customers and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine customer needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
  • Create and modify purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of parts
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors to procure parts
  • Record warranty parts returned to maintain accurate inventory
  • Create special ordered parts on our dealership computer system for technicians and clients
  • Review special order parts tracking to ensure timely delivery
  • Process and close open invoices to maintain accurate financial records
  • Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received
  • Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
  • Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Attend weekly department meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions

Requirements:

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
