Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead an integrated marketing and communications strategy to align with Innovation UBC's goals and promote UBC's research achievements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and implement a unified vision for UBC's research impact, targeting key audiences with tailored messaging.
  • Spearhead content creation, manage media relations, and lead event planning to showcase UBC's research.
  • Supervise a marketing team and contractors, and manage budgets and resources effectively.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum eight years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional skills in strategic marketing and communications, with a passion for fostering innovation within the academic community.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
