About the Position

The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the C2 Centre, ensuring the effective management of day-to-day operations. This includes administration, budgeting, finance, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Board Relations

  • Implement the Board's Policies and Strategy.
  • Provide recommendations on governance and administrative policy.
  • Ensure respectful and clear communications with the Board.
  • Attend all Board meetings.

Strategic & Finance

  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans.
  • Provide input and monitor the implementation and evaluation of the annual Business Plan and budget.
  • Establish processes for user engagement and evaluation.
  • Investigate and pursue grants, advertisement, and other funding opportunities.
  • Oversee sound financial management and reporting.

Operational

  • Oversee Food and Beverage, Events Planning, Sports & Fitness Programs, Facility Scheduling, Procurement, and Accounting and Finance.
  • Collaboratively develop annual operation plans.
  • In collaboration with managers, establish goals and priorities consistent with plans.
  • Work with the leadership team to ensure a continuous improvement approach to operational delivery.
  • Promote innovative experiences and programs.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary education in Recreation and Leisure Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years' experience working for a recreation facility or organization.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' senior-level supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
