We are seeking a skilled Welding Technologist to join our team at TRADEWEST FABRICATION LTD.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to metal fabrication, including preparing rock, mineral, or metal samples, supervising the preparation of samples, and assisting in preparing samples.
Key Responsibilities- Sample Preparation: Prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples for analysis or testing.
- Supervision: Supervise the preparation of rock, mineral, or metal samples.
- Assistance: Assist in preparing rock, mineral, or metal samples.
- Clerical Duties: Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing and record systems.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: Experience is an asset.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential skills for this role.
Personal Suitability- Leadership: Leadership skills are required to supervise and assist in preparing samples.
- Judgement: Good judgement is necessary to make decisions related to sample preparation and quality control.
- Reliability: The successful candidate must be reliable and able to work independently.
- Team Player: A team player is required to work collaboratively with other team members.
This role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
