Job Title: DevOps Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Developer to join our team at CB Canada. As a DevOps Developer, you will be responsible for creating and managing the DevOps pipeline to become a part of our quants engineering pod. Your primary goal will be to help us create automated CI/CD pipelines and add automation to enable self-service features on our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the DevOps pipeline to automate CI/CD processes
  • Modernize and automate release management, deployment processes, and strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve CI/CD practices
  • Support and maintenance of infrastructure, including on-prem and cloud deployments
  • Collaborate with development teams to add self-service features to our platforms
  • Identify KPIs and implement scaling and resilience strategies to support SLA expectations
  • Build a fully automated pipeline to build, test, and deploy without manual intervention

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of CI/CD automated tools like Jenkins, Team City, Jfrog Artifactory, UrbanCode Deploy, Ansible
  • Experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA
  • Good working knowledge of source control technologies (Git, Bitbucket)
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Experience setting up high availability/fault-tolerant systems
  • 2+ years of experience with metrics and tracing
  • Strong experience with log analysis using ELK/OpenSearch and Dynatrace
  • Good communication and collaboration skills in English
  • Open-minded and willing to learn new tools/methodologies/concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Sense of ownership

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of infrastructure and code tools like Ansible/Terraform
  • Experience with OpenShift
  • Experience with configuration management software
  • Experience in Continuous Deployment (concourse/GitHub Actions/Spinnaker/etc.)
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, or Cloud formation)
  • Strong Linux admin skills
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Dask, MLFlow
  • Experience with RHEL
