We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Erindale Animal Hospital Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including handling and restraining animals, preparing and administering medications, and providing wound care.
- Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on animal behavior and nutrition.
- Conduct laboratory tests, take X-rays, and assist with surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and medications.
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Registration as a Registered Animal Health Technologist or Registered Veterinary Technician with a provincial or territorial, or regional association.
- 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to stand for extended periods.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment with a team of experienced veterinarians and support staff.
