Job Title: Sr. Construction Manager

Alstom is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Construction Manager to lead the construction activities of the On-Corridor Works project in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA). As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is working to transform the collective mobility of the region through this project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure overall coordination of Alstom's construction activities, internal and external stakeholders, and progress monitoring.
  • Implement progress monitoring and compare to planned durations and productivities.
  • Consolidate data from all constructors to manage work scheduling.
  • Report construction progress to OPC Director and Alstom Project Management.
  • Manage communication with external stakeholders and ensure availability of required documentation.
  • Enforce Health and Safety Management Plan and Environmental Plan.
  • Train individuals on HSE requirements.
  • Monitor observance of Project Quality Documentation.
  • Coordinate Testing and Commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and report financial budget for Construction Management group.
  • Review project schedule and assess impacts of changes.
Requirements:
  • Highly qualified technician or Engineer degree level or equivalent education or experience.
  • 10 years of railway experience.
  • Previous experience in a major Brownfield Railway Construction project.
  • Cost and planning control experience in site management scope.
  • EHS background.
