Salary and Benefits

As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist, you can expect to receive a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. Additionally, you will be entitled to a comprehensive benefit plan, including voluntary RRSP matching, regular wage increases, and permanent full-time employment.

Job Description

The primary role of the Industrial Maintenance Specialist involves ensuring the smooth operation of machines and building systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine preventive maintenance to prevent equipment downtime;
  • Using observation during maintenance inspections and repairs to ensure employees use safe practices;
  • Adjusting, inspecting, and keeping records of work completed;
  • Reading blueprints/schematics and equipment manuals to perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks;
  • Assembling, dismantling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks thoroughly;
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment;
  • The ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems on HVAC equipment;
  • Certificates, licenses, such as Forklift License, Overhead Crane, WHMIS, Emergency Procedures and Evacuation, PPE, are considered advantageous;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken;
  • Mathematical skills and ability to visualize calculations;
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, life safety systems, electrical systems, and HVAC, including boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, AHU, etc.;
