Key Responsibilities:

  • • Conduct daily sick calls and carry out treatments according to standardized procedures and protocols.
  • Provide emergency care for identified medical emergencies and coordinate patient transfers to appropriate facilities.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, repair lacerations, and remove sutures.
  • Treat and manage non-psychotic behavioral health disorders and provide ongoing care for patients on maintenance doses of non-psychotic medications.
  • Participate in Quality Management and Peer Review activities, document findings using the S.O.A.P.E. method, and attend quarterly Quality Management meetings.

Education and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • • A master's degree in nursing (NPs) or an accredited education program for PAs.
  • Previous correctional/detention facility experience.
  • A minimum of two years' experience.
  • An unrestricted current license, certification, or registration in the state of practice.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Lifesaving BLS and PALS certification through AHA.
