We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Nitta Gelatin in Toronto, ON. As an essential member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a high level of technical expertise and hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems. If you have a strong background in electrical maintenance and a passion for keeping complex machinery running smoothly, we encourage you to apply.

As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing production-related machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues with motors, control circuits, and process control systems (VFD & PLC's)
  • Updating and maintaining all logs and documentation related to equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Modifying existing equipment to improve performance and efficiency
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and adherence to GMP, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards
About the Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified Industrial Electrician (442A or C&M 309A certification)
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, motors, and piping systems
  • Ability to distinguish colors used in electric wiring coding
  • Familiarity with PLC, VFD, and process instrumentation
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
