Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patrol Maintenance Technician to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our roadways and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and operations, with a focus on winter maintenance operations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. They will be responsible for performing duties of shift supervisor during the winter maintenance season, assisting in the planning and organization of work activities, and overseeing work operations to ensure value for money is being achieved.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports. They will also have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and be able to use software packages for word processing, spreadsheet, database, electronic mail, and critical path scheduling applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing duties of shift supervisor during the winter maintenance season
  • Assisting in the planning and organization of work activities
  • Overseeing work operations to ensure value for money is being achieved
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Using software packages for word processing, spreadsheet, database, electronic mail, and critical path scheduling applications
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industry repair, maintenance or landscaping (outdoor work) (Preferred)
  • Valid Ontario Class "DZ" Driver's License and MTO Operator's Permit, and acceptable driving record
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. They will also be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment will be moderate, but on occasion can be more than moderate.
