About the Role

Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Services (SMS) business unit has an opening for a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Services Operations Manager to manage and own the delivery of a 24/7 cloud based datacenter. The candidate will be required to gain an in-depth understanding of Nanometrics service product lines and the associated technology footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team dedicated to supporting 24/7 services within the cloud infrastructure, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Provide direction for the cloud datacenter, advocating for its evolution and driving efficiency and automation initiatives.
  • Own and coordinate delivery of all aspects of a 24/7 available cloud environment delivering business critical applications.
  • Be responsible and accountable for infrastructure costs providing regular updates to senior leadership.

About You

The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years experience in technology operations roles, such as service management, Technical architecture, network / systems operations, with 5 years experience leading a team of multidisciplinary technology support resources at a team lead or manager level. They must be knowledgeable in modern cloud concepts and technologies related to Kubernetes including networking, load balancing, auto-scaling, cluster utilization optimization, etc.
