Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacy Professional - Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient-centered care, ensuring seamless pharmacy services, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Professional - Patient Care Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion while acting in the best interest of patients to achieve excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, and professional clinical services.
  • Providing patient counseling and education on new therapies, tailoring to individual needs and concerns.
  • Initiating care plans, following up, and completing proper documentation.
  • Participating in professional programs and collaborating with colleagues to provide excellence in health & wellness services to all patients.
  • Ensuring prescription safety by prioritizing technical functions for Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as required.
  • Thoroughly understanding corporate pharmacy service offerings/programs and providing each customer/patient with relevant information.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and industry trends/developments; attending training as required.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • A valid License to Practice as a Pharmacist in the province of responsibility.

This role is based in-person at one of our Safeway locations in British Columbia.
