Leverage your expertise to drive financial performance and strategic development as Assistant Vice President, Finance with LCI Education.

About the Role

We seek a seasoned leader to spearhead our Canadian finance operations. This key member of our executive team will act as a business partner, collaborating on major decisions and contributing to the company's financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in high-level decision-making processes, including financing strategy, development, and operations.
  • Foster inspiring leadership within international finance teams and promote a motivating work environment for professional growth.
  • Support the CFO in analyzing reports and performance indicators for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain strict control over activities related to operations and objectives through regular follow-ups.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic organizational structure for the finance department.
  • Lead global finance teams, collaborate with business units to ensure regional growth, and contribute to process alignment and automation.
  • Report on financial performance, lead budget preparation, and establish control mechanisms.
  • Ensure target performance is met or exceeded by anticipating potential impacts and suggesting alternatives.
  • Establish mechanisms for realizing development projects and maximizing ROI through rigorous analysis.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in similar leadership roles.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, accompanied by a CPA AUDITOR designation.
  • A Master's degree in business administration is an asset.
  • Demonstrate strong experience in project planning, continuous improvement, and change management.
  • Proven background in managing teams and interest in modern management methods.
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment requiring day-to-day operational involvement.
  • Comfortable working with information systems and data organization, with expertise in complex consolidation processes.
  • Fluent bilingualism, both oral and written.
