About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Producer to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and verify factual information regarding stories through interview, observation, and research.
  • Organize material and write compelling, relevant, and concise news stories under tight deadlines according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
  • Post stories on website and social media platforms.
  • Generate compelling story ideas and knowledgeable contacts and respond to breaking news situations quickly and accurately.
  • Generate compelling multimedia content for various markets.
  • Be fluent in social media trends with a personal social media presence and the knowledge to use them to generate stories and ideas.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience generating powerful, credible original content.
  • Relevant degree/diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Proven knowledge of WordPress.
  • Excellent knowledge of the cultural and political landscape of Montreal, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to multitask and deliver under tight, continuous deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
