About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Baldev Farm Ltd as a Farm Worker. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers to crops to promote healthy growth and development
  • Clean and maintain the crops to ensure high quality and yield
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to prepare for planting
  • Cut and harvest agricultural crops to meet market demand
  • Grade and sort fruits and vegetables according to size, shape, and quality
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Hand harvest vegetables and fruits to ensure optimal quality
  • Harvest seedlings and plant new crops to maintain a healthy crop rotation
  • Level and grade the earth to fine specifications to ensure optimal crop growth
  • Mix and apply fertilizers to crops as instructed
  • Pack and prepare fruits and vegetables for market
  • Pick row and orchard crops to meet market demand
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield
  • Remove suckers and water sprouts from crops to promote healthy growth
  • Sort and grade fruits and vegetables according to size, shape, and quality
  • Weed and maintain crop areas to prevent competition and disease
Requirements
  • Experience in agricultural work is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fruit and vegetable combination farming environment with staff accommodation available. The work site environment is a combination of outdoor and indoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
