At Estiatorio Milos, we are seeking a skilled and charismatic Captain to lead our dining room team. As a Captain, you will be responsible for creating a memorable guest experience by fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Food and Beverage Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including ingredients, sources, and preparation methods.
- Pace and Sequence Management: Manage the pace and sequence of service to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Service Attitude: Exhibit an excellent service attitude and be willing to go the extra mile to accommodate guests.
- Dining Room Maintenance: Inspect the dining room to ensure proper maintenance and safety, and take immediate action to correct any issues.
- Guest Relationship Building: Develop relationships with guests and check in with them during service to ensure satisfaction.
- Payment and Supplies: Accurately prepare guest checks and accept payment, and ensure that side work is completed and dining room supplies are well stocked.
- Training and Development: Train new hires on our service standards, menu items, and food/beverage pairings.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of the restaurant.
- Experience: A minimum of five to ten years' experience in a similar role.
- Restaurant Point-of-Sale Systems: Experience using restaurant point-of-sale systems.
- Decision-Making: Ability to make rapid, tactical decisions in accordance with our steps of service and standards.
- Food and Beverage Knowledge: Strong food and beverage knowledge and ability to properly articulate menu selections.
- Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Possess strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills: Superb customer service and interpersonal skills.
We offer a comprehensive group benefits program, including health, vision, and dental coverage. The annual salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $175,000.
